Collection: Summer Collection (Mini Water Lotus)
When purchasing lotus seeds. Always asking what the source of the seeds came from, as mother plant has a huge influence. wolf vs puppy.
A lot of people who purchased them from eBay. End up having the seed come from the vegetable trend line. They are breed for food. Those types of the lotus are very big. In TNT you can purchase the lotus root. They need a pond. The price are very cheap good for fun but they do not bloom in small pot.
Also need to take with care. They are very easy to sprout as long as change water every day. Should never take the whole shield off the seed. It will likely have fungus growing on top of the seed.
After it has two or floating leaves, it MUST move to the soil (Muddy Soil is a must) 10cm or more if you have the Mini version.
You should only plant the seed early Summer and moving them outside in summer. The lotus needs full sun it will never do good indoor. The temperature needs to be above 10 degrees at the night.
As we have a short cool summer. But they do grow very quick. Unfortunately, they do go hibernate in winter and require a place with a water temperature of 5-10 degrees.
What I do is I bought the mini version and choose the best one and put them in the fridge.
We have some mini version in stock. Usually Mini Version will have very small seed. IF you have a bigger one... you might get the vegetable version.
